Jobs / Launch Manager
Term: Part-time (~20 hrs/week) with potential to full time
Location: Remote/Hybrid (PST time zone availability required)
We're Human Computer, a game studio in San Rafael, CA. We're launching our debut game this year. Announcement is right around the corner, and we need someone to help us prep for festivals, Steam, and community.
This role blends launch coordination, production, and community management. You'll be our point person for getting the game out into the world, from festival submissions to social posts. It's a wear-many-hats kind of gig, and we're looking for someone who's done this before.
What you'll do
Festival management: Research which fests make sense for us, wrangle submissions, track deadlines, manage builds and materials, and be our person on the ground if we get in
Social media: Capture and collect moments from the game, keep our channels active and interesting, build anticipation for launch
Discord: Light moderation, keeping the vibes good as we build community
Steam: Help manage our store page and launch presence
Requirements
Experience shipping an indie game (you've been through this before)
Familiar with the festival circuit and submission process
Steam experience (Steamworks, store pages, launch logistics)
Comfortable with Photoshop, Figma, and light video editing (creating social assets, cutting clips, basic graphics work)
Self-directed and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
Details
Part-time to start (~20 hours/week), with potential to go full-time as we ramp up.
Rate $2000-$3000 monthly part time
Bay Area preferred; bonus if you can come into our San Rafael office.
Let's do this!
